Overseas Drama Camps

We offer overseas drama camps in the winter and summer for middle school and high school students where they take drama classes with foreign students and experience a different culture.



US English Drama Overseas Class & Junior Thespian Festival

EdTA and ENREACH Education have partnered with public schools in Salt Lake City to bring Chinese student to the US and experience the value and benefits of drama education whilst having an opportunity to practice their English. The camp offers drama classes in English lead by American teachers that prepare students for a final performance that is presented at EdTA’s prestigious junior festivals. The goal of this program is to expose Chinese students to drama education in the US, to learn and directly experience the value that the arts add to an education, and to foster cultural exchange by making friends with talented American students dedicated to theater.


Time

Every summer, for 15 days.


Qualifications

Grade 7-10 in school students with good enough English language skills to be able to communicate with American students and partake in an American Classroom. (Younger students in other grade must be interviewed and approved before hand). Every student should be in good mental and physical health and well behaved. They must be proactive with their learning and be adaptable and open to having new experiences and meeting new people. Students are expected to be respectful, tolerant and willing to understand other cultures.

Shakespeare Theatre Overseas Program

Every summer students from grade 7-10 is invited to travel to northern UK to attend our Shakespeare camp. Chinese students will work with local British students to learn drama skills and perform important scenes from Shakespeare’s famous works. Student will rehearsal and present a public performance in Shakespeare’s hometown, Stradford-upon-avon. During their stay in UK, they will also go to the theatre to see professional performance of Shakespeare’s work and visit the Globe Theatre and the British House of Parliament in London. Students will meet the MP and have the chance to watch a live debate in the Parliament, not to mention walk around the British Museum and V&A Museum. They will also take a tour of two top universities and have a chance to talk to admission officer about college applications and admissions.

Every summer, for 20 days
